Good morning boys and girls... It has we have had some lackluster turnouts on raid nights recently. Last week on Wednesday, we barely had 10, and I was hoping to do 25 man Naxx. We start our raids at 12 ET...9 server time. If you aren't on by 15 mins after 9 p.m. server time, don't expect to get into a raid (if we actually have one going). I will be cancelling raids by 9:15 server time if we don't have a group, (unless we have information that someone is on the way but held up by something). If you sign up for a raid via the in-game calendar please show up.
The first 10 toons (with the correct class make up) will be the raid.
It is unfair to hold up 8 other folks from doing something else (5 mans, dailies, etc.) while we vainly hope for someone to show up. Everybody has a limited amount of playing time. I don't like starting raids at 10 server time. That is 1 a.m. for those on the east coast.
If the raid is scheduled for 9 p.m. server. Try to be online by 8:30 p.m. server time, so we know what kind of group we have and we can maybe start early. If you get on by 8:30 p.m. very often you can get 2 or 3 daily quests done, while the group forms.
I don't mean to be a angry guild master, but it is unfair to sign up and not show up, or be late and expect to be added to a group. Or to be late and hold up 8 or 9 other players preventing them from using their playing time to the best advantage. We are a guild that respects its members.
Schedule:
Tues: OS/VOA 9 p.m.
Raid Night Wed: ULD 9 p.m. We'll start at FL (no towers up) and kill bosses.
Thurs: Help-A-Guildie 9 p.m.
Sun: ULD 9 p.m.
Mon: Free
In other news, It has been an uninspiring couple of weeks. Not much happening on a guild-wide basis. Everyone that wasted hours on the brewfest boss raise their hand. What a stupid waste of time for crap drops X 5. Personally, I dislike those world events. I find them to be a distraction in a game that demands so much time. But I am a grouchy old man. (And that is the phrase that pays this week: grouchy old man. Whisper "grouchy old man" to me during the week, and you will win 5 gold. One payoff per account. Obliviously, if Golfman knows it, then Gofman has also read the Web site.)
On the bright side, some individuals have had some shining achievements.
Xtrahealth reached 80. For those that don't know, Xtra is Blundermage's alt. For those that don't know, Blundermage was formerly known as LTkickbutt, but was force to change his name to protect the innocent. While Blundermage is not officially a Crew member we try not to hold it against him.
Jack has been dying so we don't have to. He's been pugging Trial of the Crusader and learning those fights to bring it back and teach us. Three cheers for Jack. Hip hip Horay! Hip... you get it.
Our only guild member who actually filled out an online application has left us. Yes, the hunter Hiddenbullet has left us for greener pastures.
I'll Show You Mine...
Some of you might remember that I was crowing about how cool my UI looks after I downloaded a bunch of addons and spent 2 days playing with them. Not to mention, all the help I had from folks who grouped with me for no reason. I got to thinking.. maybe someone might want to see the fruits of my...er.. their labors. So I am posting a screenshot of my UI. If you think yours is cool... um cooler. then lets see it. Please post it.
Patch 3.3 is coming
